# Customizing Your Branded Tracking Page

### Introduction

The Branded Tracking Page editor has three tabs. **General** covers the page address and embedding, **Content** covers everything your customers read, and **Style** covers how it looks.

A live preview sits beside the editor and updates as you type, so you can see the result before saving.

This article covers the Content and Style tabs. For creating and managing pages, see [setting up your Branded Tracking Page](https://help.ship24.com/en/article/setting-up-your-branded-tracking-page-13vfcxl/).

### Before you start

Two things apply throughout the editor.

**The preview is a simulator.** Switch it between **Search** and **Status** to see either the lookup form or a tracking result, and between **Desktop** and **Mobile**. On the Status view you can choose which delivery status to render, which is how you check your wording for cases you rarely see live, such as a failed attempt or an order that cannot be found.

**Content is stored per language.** If your page offers more than one language, the **Editing language** selector at the top of the Content tab decides which version you are editing. Everything under Content is written once per language. Everything under Style applies to all of them.

### Offering your page in several languages

If you sell across borders, your customers do not all read English. Your page can be offered in several languages, with a language selector on the page itself.

How many languages you can offer depends on your plan:

| Plan | Languages |
| --- | --- |
| Free | English only |
| Essential | Up to 5 |
| Pro | All available languages |

###### Choosing your languages

Go to the **General** tab and expand **Languages**.

![](https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/-/b/0/5/d/b05de28401784000/btp-v2-languages_i27png.png =1600x900)

1. **Default language** is what visitors see when they arrive without choosing anything. Set this to the language most of your customers read.
2. **Available languages** is the list you offer. Tick each language you want, using the filter box to find one quickly. The counter shows how many you have selected.

###### Translating your content

1. Go to the **Content** tab.
2. Set **Editing language** to the language you want to work on.
3. Work through each section and fill in that language's wording.
4. Repeat for every language you offer.

Ship24 pre-fills default translations for standard content such as milestone titles and status wording, so a newly added language is never blank. Anything specific to your business is not translated for you, because it cannot be guessed. That includes your navigation labels, your marketing blocks, and any wording you have customised.

A language selector appears on your published page. Choosing a language reloads the page in that language, and the address updates so the link can be shared or bookmarked. Visitors who arrive without selecting anything see your default language.

| Only add languages you can maintain. A half-translated page in a language the customer chose reads worse than a page that was only ever offered in English.

|| Text length varies between languages. German and French run noticeably longer than English, so check your navigation labels and button wording in the preview rather than assuming they will fit.

### Header

Your brand identity and navigation.

![](https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/-/b/0/5/d/b05de28401784000/btp-v2-content-header_2mjubj.png =1600x900)

1. **Editing language** selects which language version you are editing.
2. **Store Name** appears at the top of the page. **Store Link** is where your logo and store name point, normally your homepage.
3. **Favicon** shows in the browser tab. **Logo** shows in the page header.
4. **Social Links** for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and X. Each has a toggle, so you can keep a link saved and hide it without deleting it.

Below the social links you can build the header menu.

![](https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/-/b/0/5/d/b05de28401784000/btp-v2-navigation_1s74zjp.png =1600x900)

1. Up to four navigation items. The counter shows how many you have used, and **Add** creates another.
2. Each item takes a label and a link. Use these for pages customers ask about while they wait, such as returns, shipping policy, FAQs, or contact.
3. The arrows reorder items, which is the order they appear in the header.
4. The bin removes an item.

### Uploading images

Every image field in the editor opens the same dialog.

![](https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/-/b/0/5/d/b05de28401784000/btp-v2-image-upload_dm5cks.png =1600x900)

1. The dialog states the accepted formats, the maximum file size, and the recommended dimensions. Follow the size shown in the dialog, since it differs between the logo, the favicon, and the marketing blocks.
2. Drag a file in, or click **Browse Files**.
3. Click **Upload** to confirm.

| Images far from the recommended size get scaled to fit and can look soft or crop awkwardly. Preparing the file at the stated size gives the best result.

### Search Widget

How customers look up their order.

![](https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/-/b/0/5/d/b05de28401784000/btp-v2-search-widget_klxq6u.png =1600x900)

1. **Lookup mode** sets what customers can search with:

* **Order + Email** asks for an order number and email address, which is friendlier when customers do not keep tracking numbers
* **Tracking #** asks for a tracking number
* **Both** offers either

2. **Track button label** is the wording on the button. "Track my order" reads better than "Submit".
3. The preview shows exactly what your customers will see.

### Status and History

The tracking block itself, which is what customers came for.

![](https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/-/b/0/5/d/b05de28401784000/btp-v2-status-history_660c3f.png =1600x900)

1. Toggles for the **progress bar**, the **courier name**, and the **tracking number**. Hiding the courier name is a common choice when you would rather not draw attention to which courier you use.
2. The wording of the **Track another order** link.
3. **Estimated Delivery Date**, where you can show the courier's estimate.
4. **Progress Bar Descriptions**, the short labels under each step of the progress bar.

### Tracking Description

The wording customers read for each tracking state.

![](https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/-/b/0/5/d/b05de28401784000/btp-v2-tracking-description_1wdp5z5.png =1600x900)

1. **Empty states** cover the two cases that generate the most support contacts. **Found, no events** is an order that exists but has no courier updates yet. **Order not found** is a lookup that matched nothing. Say what is happening and what to do next.
2. **Milestone Titles** are the headline for each delivery stage, for example "Your order is in transit". These are your voice rather than the courier's. For what each stage means, see [understanding shipment delivery statuses](https://help.ship24.com/en/article/understanding-shipment-delivery-statuses-1rikrd6/).
3. The status switcher in the preview renders your page in any state, including both empty states, so you can check each one before saving.

| Write the empty states first. They are the screens customers see when something has gone wrong, and they are the easiest to forget because they rarely appear while you are testing.

### Marketing and Upselling

Product blocks that sit below the tracking information.

![](https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/-/b/0/5/d/b05de28401784000/btp-v2-marketing-blocks_1yuaeqv.png =1600x900)

1. Four blocks, each with an image and a link.
2. Each block has a toggle, so you can prepare a block now and switch it on when a campaign starts.
3. Enabled blocks appear as a row under the tracking details.

Tracking pages get opened repeatedly by customers who have already bought from you, which makes them well suited to new arrivals, best sellers, or a current offer.

### Footer

![](https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/-/b/0/5/d/b05de28401784000/btp-v2-footer_zicqve.png =1600x900)

1. **Show socials** displays the social links from the Header section. **Ship24 watermark** controls the Powered by Ship24 line, which can be removed on Pro.
2. **Footer Links** for Contact Us, Terms of service, and Privacy Policy. Each has a toggle and a link.
3. The result in the preview.

### Style

The Style tab applies to every language version of your page.

###### Colours

![](https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/-/b/0/5/d/b05de28401784000/btp-v2-style-colors_4igwbr.png =1600x900)

Four areas, each with a text colour and a background colour:

1. **Header**
2. **Body**
3. **Button**
4. **Footer**

Enter a hex code to match your brand exactly. Check the contrast between each text and background pair, since low contrast is hard to read on a phone in daylight, which is where most tracking pages get opened.

###### Fonts, shape and spacing

![](https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/-/b/0/5/d/b05de28401784000/btp-v2-style-fonts-shape-spaci_1rdqdo4.png =1600x900)

1. **Fonts**: a font family, a base font size, and a heading scale that controls how much larger headings are than body text.
2. **Shape**: corner radius for components, either **Sharp**, **Rounded** or **Pill**.
3. **Spacing**: layout density, either **Compact**, **Comfortable** or **Spacious**. Compact fits more on screen, spacious is easier to scan.

### Before you finish

Work through this list:

* Switch the preview to **Mobile**, since most customers open tracking pages on a phone
* Step through every status in the preview, including **Found, no event** and **Not found**
* Check text and background contrast in all four colour areas
* Confirm every navigation, footer and marketing link opens the right page
* If you offer several languages, repeat the Content checks in each one
* Click **Preview** to open the live page in a new tab
