How to Link Your Shopify Store to Your Ship24 Account

Introduction

In this article we will guide you through the process of linking your Shopify Store to Ship24 to handle the automatic retrieval of your monthly order data to be processed for IOSS.

To prepare your monthly IOSS VAT declaration, Ship24 needs to retrieve your Shopify order data automatically. This ensures that all eligible orders are included and that your VAT manifest is accurate, complete, and compliant.

The connection is set up using a private Shopify app with read-only access. Ship24 can only read order data and cannot modify your store, orders, products, or settings in any way.

Once connected, your order data is securely collected each month, removing the need for manual exports and simplifying your IOSS VAT reporting.

1. Go to http://partners.shopify.com/ and sign in with your Shopify account.

2. You will get redirected to this screen, click on "Create and set up a new partner organization".

2b. Set up a new partner organization with your details. Then click "Create partner organization".

3. Go to the Dev Dashboard via the Partner Dashboard.

4. Click "Create app".

5. Name the app "SHIP24-IOSS VAT" then click "Create".

6. Scroll to the "Access" section, then click on "Select scopes".

7. Search for "read_orders", tick the box for "read_orders" then click "Done".

8. Double-check that the "read_orders" is listed.

9. Untick "Embed app in Shopify admin".

10. Click "Release".

11. You can leave the version name and message blank, and click on "Release"

12. Go to "Home", and click "Select distribution method".

13. Choose "Custom distribution"

14. Enter the store domain which you want to install the app on (your store URL), and click on "Generate Link".

15. Now you will get an "Install link" to install the app on your store. Copy it.

16. Open a new browser tab and paste the Install link to go to the install page. Then select the store you want to install the app on

17. Click "Install". A new window will open ("Example Domain"). You can ignore it and move to next step.

18. Go back to your Dev Dashboard > your-app > Settings. Copy and save somewhere the "Client ID" and "Secret", you will need it for next steps

19. In your Ship24 Dashboard, go to "Shopify Stores" section and click on "Connect your Shopify store"

20. Input your Shop domain, the API key and the API Secret you saved in Step 18.

That's all! Your Shopify Store is now connected to Ship24.
