How to send Delivery Notifications using your own email address
Introduction
Verifying your sending domain allows Ship24 to send delivery notification emails from your own domain, instead of a generic Ship24 address.
This improves email deliverability, brand trust, and helps prevent your notifications from landing in spam folders.

Why verify your sending domain?
When delivery notifications are sent from an unverified or generic domain, email providers (Gmail, Outlook, etc.) are more likely to flag them as spam.
By verifying your domain, you can:
- Improve inbox placement for delivery notifications
- Send emails using your own branded domain
- Increase trust with email providers
- Reduce the risk of spoofing or phishing attempts
Pre-requisite
- This feature requires an active subscription to the Tracking Solution Pro plan.
- You will need access to your domain’s DNS settings (via your email or DNS provider).
How domain verification works
Ship24 verifies your domain by asking you to add DNS records to your domain.
These records confirm that Ship24 is authorized to send emails on your behalf.
Once the records are detected, your domain status will change from Unverified to Verified.
Verify your sending domain
- Open Delivery Notifications settings
From your Ship24 dashboard, navigate to Delivery Notifications.
- Add a new sending domain
Go to the Settings tab and locate the Sending Domain Settings section.
Click Add Email.
- Copy the DNS records provided by Ship24
Ship24 will display three CNAME records required to authenticate your domain.
These records must be added to your domain’s DNS settings.
- Add the CNAME records to your DNS provider
Log in to your DNS provider and add the CNAME records exactly as provided by Ship24.
Documentation for common DNS providers:
- Authenticate your domain
Once the CNAME records have been added, return to Ship24 and click Authenticate.
Ship24 will then complete the domain validation process.
- Confirm verification status
When the domain status changes to Verified, your domain has been successfully authenticated.
You can now send Delivery Notifications using this email address.
What happens after verification?
After your domain is verified:
- Delivery notification emails will be sent using your domain
- Your brand name appears more consistently in inboxes
- Email deliverability and trust are improved
No further action is required unless you change your domain or DNS settings.
Troubleshooting
My domain is still unverified
- Double-check that all DNS records match exactly
- Ensure there are no typos or missing values
- Wait a bit longer DNS propagation can take time
