How to Manage Your Organization Profile and Audit Log

Introduction

Your organization has its own profile, separate from your personal details, and an audit log that records changes made across the organization. This article covers both.

Set up your organization profile

Go to Organization > Profile. The Organization profile page holds your company's details and icon. To change it, you need View & edit access to Organization settings. See Understanding Team Roles and Permissions.

  1. Under Company icon, upload your logo. It can be a PNG or JPG of up to 1 MB. Square works best, at least 128×128.
  2. Fill in your Company name, Company website, Phone Number and Address.
  3. Click "Update" to save, or "Cancel" to undo your changes. Both buttons appear once you start editing.

To remove the icon, click the x in its corner, then click "Update".

The icon is how people recognize your organization in the account menu, which matters most for anyone who belongs to more than one. Without an icon, initials are shown instead.

Use the audit log

Go to Organization > Audit log to see changes made across your organization, who made them and when. You need access to User management to see it.

Each row shows the Occurrence time, the Type of change, who it was Performed by, and the Event itself. Times are shown in UTC. There are four event types: Membership, Roles, API keys and Subscription.

To find something specific:

  1. Narrow the list with Search, Event type, Performed by and Date Range. They all combine, and the number of matching events shows under the filters. Click "Clear filters" to start again.
  2. Click "Export CSV" to download the events.

The export only includes the events that match your current filters. To export everything, clear the filters first.

Common questions

Is a member's history kept after I remove them?

Yes. Deactivating or removing someone doesn't change the audit log, so their past activity stays visible.

Is the organization profile the same as my personal profile?

No. Organization > Profile is the company's details, shared by everyone in the organization. Your own name and login details are under Manage Profile.
