What Is Ship24 Team and How Does It Work

Introduction

Ship24 Team lets you bring colleagues into your Ship24 account. Each person signs in with their own login and sees only the parts of the dashboard you choose.

This article explains how organizations, seats and roles fit together, what Team costs, and what you need before you buy it.

Your account is already an organization

Every Ship24 account is an organization with one person in it: you, the Owner. There is nothing to create and nothing to switch on. Team simply adds more people to the organization you already have.

The Owner sits above everyone else. The Owner never uses a seat, can't be edited or removed by anyone, and is the only person who can buy, change or cancel plans.

What Team adds

Each colleague gets their own login, invited by email
Ready-made roles (Admin, Member and Viewer), or access set area by area
Up to 5 saved roles of your own, so the next person gets the same access in one click
One page showing everyone's access, status and when they were last active
Deactivate, reactivate or remove a member whenever you need to
An audit log of who changed what, and when

What it costs and what you need

Team is a separate product at $10 per seat per month. A seat is one colleague. You can buy 1 to 15 seats at checkout, and for more than 15, email contact@ship24.com. See how Team seats and billing work for the details.

Team works alongside a tracking plan, not instead of one. Your organization needs a Tracking API or All-in-one Tracking Solution plan for your team to have anything to work with. Team doesn't work with an IOSS plan on its own.

How it works day to day

The Owner buys seats on the Subscriptions page.
The Owner, or anyone allowed to manage users, invites colleagues by email and chooses what each person can access.
Each colleague accepts the invitation and signs in with their own login. If they already have a Ship24 account, they join with that one.
Anyone who belongs to more than one organization switches between them from the account menu in the top right.

Your tracking plan, quota, API keys and settings all belong to the organization, not to the person who set them up. If someone leaves and you remove them, everything they created keeps working.
